Moray McGuffie - 2plan Recruitment Director

Moray’s first job was as a trainee manager in the grocery industry, where worked his way through the ranks to become the youngest Branch Manager in the Booker Group of cash and carry’s. His passion at this time though was martial arts, which led to him becoming a professional instructor. Unfortunately this was ended due to injury. This led to a total career change and since that time he has worked in financial services and recruitment for the last twenty three years. Starting as a financial consultant in the early eighties in FPS Management Ltd. Throughout his career he held various levels of branch and senior management with General Portfolio, GAN, Cornhill, and a period running his own financial services business which he sold to a national IFA organisation.

More recently he was with the Park Row Group and latterly as head of recruitment for an international IFA, Guardian Wealth Management. In addition he has considerable experience working in senior management in the recruitment industry and as keynote speaker and psychological sales trainer to industry.

He lives in South Wales with his wife Desiree and children.

He is President of the Swansea chapter of the Business Men’s Fellowship and one of their national speakers. He loves the cinema, playing various musical instruments, watching sport and reading as well as spending time with his six children who are aged from five to twenty six.
